This entry is part 1 of 15 in the series Design Activity Projects

Create a 90 second soundtrack based on a given image.

The object of this exercise is to concentrate on the audio layers that make up a movie soundtrack.

To do this you are going to work with a still image and imagine the sounds that you would hear within the scene.

Skills and knowledge

Sourcing and recording audio files
Creation of a project folder and file management
Basic audio editing in Adobe Audition or Premier Pro

Remember there are three basic layers in a soundtrack

Sound Effects

Insert your image into a word document and write about what you think would be heard within the scene. This becomes your plan for sourcing and editing your audio sample files. Use your imagination to try and create a rich mixture of sounds.
